Happy New Year Everyone.

My latest creation made of 100% floral cotton using yellow, rust & dark brown thread to highlight the colours in the fabric. The back has 5 Mother of pearl buttons for access.

Christmas is over for another year & what a busy time it has been..... now it is time to get back to some normality, if that is possible! Here is a lovely little dress that was only finished Christmas Eve. Made of pale pink polycotton fabric with white picque collar & sleeve cuffs. The smocking was done with white DMC thread & grub roses have been placed between the rows & on the collar & sleevees. Sized to fit 18 months .... This was a kit purchased from Country Bumpkin - thankyou ladies for such a beautiful little outfit which would look adorable on that little Princess in your life....

Alien Babies

These two beautiful Alien Babies were dressed in dupion silk & guipure laces to show their 'royal' importance within the Alien community! The Prince is wearing a royal purple romper with gold smocking & the Princess is in a long gown of gold dupion silk with guipure laces. They now belong to a happy buyer in the USA.

Pink Voile & Pearls

Here is little "Giggles" all dressed in pink voile with smocked glass pearls & her new Mummy was so delighted at her outfit. There was a matching bonnet & underneath the gown is a tiny 00000 sized towelling nappy to complete the set. She is a tiny 30 cms in length....

Dupion Silk Set.

Dupion silk makes the most beautiful outfits for real babies & reborn dolls. Here is a champagne coloured dupion with Christmas red smocking around the neckline & sleeves. There are matching bloomers & shoes (not in the pic) & the dress hemline has been trimmed with a delicate cream guipure lace.

Grub Roses

With Summer DownUnder, comes hot days where cool clothing is a must & by adding tiny grub roses in dark pink & pale green leaves this little onesie is more personalised & makes "Lil Love" even more desirable. She is content to lie in the cool sucking her thumb!

Perfect Peas in a Pod

Perfect little peas in a pod are these two 23 cm (9") 'babies'. Here they are, Lil Love & Micah pictured in their new onesies from Vicki Lynn's Dolly Boutique in the USA. I have to say, these teeny little outfits are made with excellent quality fabric & very well made indeed - the envelope shoulder design fits snuggly againt the tiniest neck so none of the body bag shows at all..... I highly recommend these little clothing items..

Tiny Miracle.

This tiny "Micah" reborn, is based on the true size & weight of a real baby that survived premature birth. This little darling is dressed in a fine lemon clipped cotton with guipure lace around the hemline & a smocked Bishop neckline & around both sleeves. You can see how small he is compared to my hand, which is holding him.....

Bright & Breezy

Something a little different - 100% cool cotton 'Garfield' the cat, printed fabric with matching bloomers done in the hot pink colour with 'Garfield' trim on the bottom of the bloomer legs. A lovely little set for these hot summer days - two button closure at the top of the back to catch more beezes..

Christmas Gold

Here is another in my Christmas series - a dark navy blue dress with the most adorable gold pattern throughout & I have matched cream & gold bloomers with laces for that festive touch. All the smocking is done in a gold tone thread to bring out the gold in the dress & bloomers..

Christmas in Green

Another in my Christmas series. "Luca" by Elly Knoops is the perfect model in a green & gold 100% cotton set. The top is smocked in a gold coloured thread to match the gold holy leaves in the print & she is wearing matching cream & gold bloomers edged with cream laces. These outfits make perfect gifts.

Christina in detail...

I wanted to show you the attention to detail that Janan has accomplished with this little preemie 'Christina' sculpt. Her hair & tiny micro-rooted eyelashes are so perfect, just like a newborn preemie baby. The delicate outfit is made of white self striped voile & smocked in a pale blue thread. There is a matching bonnet. These tiny 'babies' are weighted with glass pellets etc to give them that 'real' feel of a baby this size. I also have a blonde available.

The Christmas theme continued....

Doesn't this look lovely - as you can see I have posted the larger front view at the top because I think it is stunning for a Christmas outfit.... you see it here on my Elly Knoops Luca but it would fit several sized 'babies' because the top can be short on taller dolls or longer on shorter dolls. The neckline & sleeves have been smocked in a 'gold' coloured thread for a more Christmas look .... the outfit is 100% cotton so if you want to purchase I suggest you get in fast as they sell quickly.... there will be more over the coming few days.........

Christening Gown in Lace

Here is a magnificent Christening gown made of English lace & lined with one layer of cream organza which has been pleated & smocked together around the Bishop neckline. Tiny gream pearls were also used to give it that "wow" factor....... a pair of shoes & matching bonnet completed the set. A very elegant & delicate gown for generations to come.

Here is a special order - a Fairy for the bottom of the garden. Janan has excelled herself with this little one, right down to the lady beetle on her cheek & isn't that so sweet!

Champagne Delight!

Here is little 'Christina' all dressed ready for her Christening. A lovely soft white gown smocked in white DMC thread around the neckline, with guipure lace edging looks stunning on her.

Christmas Cherry Delight

What Christmas wouldn't be complete without a bunch of Cherries & here they are. This white background fabric is covered in bright red cherries. Sized for a 6-12 mth old it is smocked in red to bring out the rich colour. The set contains shoes, bloomers, dress & bonnet, all finished with white broderie anglaise laces to give that special feminine look & bright red satin ribbon ties on the shoes & bonnet. It has 4 Mother of Pearl buttons at the bach for easy access.

Pink Satin

Here are two gowns made of the same fine pink satin but by adding cream laces to one & pink guipure laces to the other it changes their overall appearances but they are both delicate & desirable...

Silk Ribbon Embroidery

Have you ever looked for special shoes for a Christening? Here are just the ones to make that special day more memorable. They are made of Dupion silk with silk ribbon hand embroidered roses & vines with pearls. Hand embroidery adds that extra special feature & you can choose your own design.

Unique & Old.

This small OOAK dress was made from the most beautiful roll of old Swiss embroidered cotton which was unearthed in a warehouse in Melbourne after being closed down for over 30 years. The fine weave of the fabric together with the rich embroidery makes this little smocked Bishop gown very desirable. It is suitable for a Christening on a hot summer day.

Blue Dupion Silk Rompers........

Size is very important when making clothing for reborn "babies" - we want them to look like preemie babies so their outfits must look appropriate for the length of the reborn doll.... here are rompers showing the sizes next to a Size 1 child's romper, the tiny one is for a 10" & the larger for a 14". These were all smocked across the bodice, then piping added to the sleeves, ankles & bodice & matching hats completed the sets... don't they look wonderful for little preemie 'babies'? I do like to give attention to the tiniest detail for more authenticity.

Pretty & Pink

Aren't these an absolute dream for little girls? All pink & lacey with matching hats for our hot summer days, smocked in colours that suit both fabrics .... The pink spot is a very fine embroidered voile & the other is 100% cotton just perfect for Australias hot weather..

Cream & Brown

This was a lovely way to mix cream & brown - the broderie anglaise collar effect is achieved by pleating & smocking it in with the dress & it then fans out across the shoulders & neckline beautifully. A matching pair of bloomers & hat complete the set.

Fresh Lime Green!

This was such a delight to smock - the DMC thread was variegated & matched the lime green gingham very nicely... there is a matching smocked mopsy hat.

Colour Co-ordinated...

Here are three colour co-ordinated smocked dresses for 2/3 & 3/4 sized girls. Made of 100% cottons & mixing florals & stripes of the same colour quality, makes them the perfect little summer set & each has a matching smocked mopsy hat to compliment the outfit. Reborn 'Babies'

Here are three reborn babies all dressed & ready for new Mummy's. Their skin colouring, micro-rooted hair & eyelashes & tiny manicured fingers & toenails are just sooooo real. They all have 3/4 limbs & suede bodys which are weighted, to replicate a real baby of that size. The yellow & pink 100% cotton dresses cover white towelling size 00000 snap nappies & the green & white striped romper looks so cute on this little one, he has a nappy underneath. All these babies come fully dressed & with their own birth certificate & care sheets. A teeny Bible will accompany each one also. They make the most beautiful gifts & unusual as well. No two are exactly the same so they are also unique.

Colourful & Cute

If you like bright colours this is the set for you - it is made of dupion silk in stripes & striking it is! The romper has been smocked on the sleeves, legs, the bonnet & Bishop neckline with colours from the fabric & finished with matching red ribbon ties on the bonnet ... Luca looks a delight,

Summer Play Set

This is a lovely little summer play set for a 6 mth old girl - I have used a fine pink check gingham fabric with white broderie anglaise laces for the sleeves, hemline & bloomer hems & there were matching shoes, Pink satin ribbons for the shoes & sleeves completed the ensemble beautifully...

Hungarian Christening

The paternal Great-grandmother chose this gown for her special great-grandaughter & doesn't she look lovely - it was custom made for the child's Christening in Budapest Hungary in July this year. The off-white dupion silk gown was heavily smocked across the skirt & at the wrists. There were matching white laces to the hemline & sleeves .. she looks lovely Mummy.

Prince & Princess

These outfits were a special order for two beautiful dolls in the USA. The clothing was custom made from dupion silks in the rich Royal purple colour befitting a Prince & the Gold was for the little Princess. Because she is royalty rich gold coloured guipure laces were chosen for her gown whilst he had matching gold stitching around the neckline of his romper. Delicate free hand designs were painted on their faces to reflect the Alien theme. Aren't they lovely...

1/4 limbs are catered for.....

Today's picture is one of a smocked pink voile romper & smocked bonnet with pearls for the 1/4 limb reborn babies out there... as reborn collectors would know, some dolls come with only the hands, feet & head therefore they require clothing that covers the body bags & fabric arms & legs & this little outfit does the job perfectly.... this particular outfit was custom made for a client in the USA.

"Lil Love" For Sale

Here is one of the adorable "babies" for sale - her name is 'Lil Love' & she sucks her thumb & measures 10" (25cm) in length. She has a tiny micro-rooted head with matching eyelashes which have been done in the best quality dark brown mohair - she will come to you fully dressed in the colour of your choice with a 00000 sized nappy & birth certificate with all her details. The wonderfully talented Janan has created this little darling.

Blue is for Boys!

Sometimes little boys are overlooked when it comes to Christening outfits & their Daddy's don't like them to be dressed too "sissy". Here is a pale blue dupion silk set, comprising of an all-in-one romper, shoes & smocked cap.. for that little man in your life. The legs & sleeves can be cuffed if preferred.

Did you know that silk is a natural fibre, suited to the hot climates & 'breaths' with the wearer. It should never be stored in plastic bags for long periods of time.

Friday at Last!

Trying to find the right fabric for a special collar isn't always easy but in this case the cream collar & smocking are perfectly matched with this rich deep pink satin-backed shantung. I am very pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

So Sweet!

A friend asked me to make this sweet little set for her 12 inch baby doll.... she chose cream dupion silk with 100% cotton laces & doesn't 'Giggles' look just lovely. These have been made for 12 mth babies & now, right down to the teeny "pretend babies" ! If you are a doll collector you will understand the need to have your precious little ones dressed beautifully.

Cute as a Button.

This was a bit of a challenge due to the size - it was to fit this 12 inch baby & it needed to have piping on the bodice, collars, legs & sleeves but the final result is just so cute & well worth the effort & fiddling...the back is closed with 2 teeny blue heart-shaped buttons. Back to the smocking & a new white gown......

I just couldn't resist putting this pic on my blog. A work in progress for a few days & here it is all finished - I've used sage green dupion silk, cream guipure laces for the sleeves & legs with matching cream pearls - stunning effect I thought. And my model is "Giggles", one of my many 12 inch dolls.

I have been working on these tiny booties which are made of Dupion silk. Pink ribbon embroidery completed the design very nicely & on the toes are a pink bow which is held in place by colonial knots. Spider roses were placed on each side to finish off... aren't they just lovely for that special event or even Christening Day.
