Cherries

Other views of the set. Showing the bloomers which are edged with the same cherry bias.

My love of cherries has inspired me to make this lovely little, fully lined dress, hat & bloomers. There are fabric covered buttons at the back & the added black rick rack braid on the skirt & hat finishes off the set nicely. Sized 12 - 18 month. A little toddler would look adorable wearing this matching ensemble..

It has been a very busy time catching up on my Christmas orders & these little sets were such a pleasure to make. The shorts are fully lined & button-onto the shirts at the front & back. The little brothers will look perfect for Christmas... the smocking was worked over 24 x 1/2 pleats & have turned out beautifully.

Yummy cupcakes! These sets are proving to be quite popular. Made of 100% cotton & smocked in contrasting DMC threads. Perfect for babies or reborn dolls.

And another bright black & white spot to add to the collection... these are so pretty using the DMC thread for the smocking to match the black.. there will be shoes to match when I finally get them together...
Pretty for the coming summer - Cherry bloomers & white top with matching black & red smocking on the Bishop neckline. The sleeves & neck binding are of the cherry fabric also.  All finished with a dainty white cotton lace for the bloomer legs & swing top hemline...

I am so pleased with the final result of this dupion silk dress. The front T-section has had pink silk ribbon bows & flowers with green vines added after the twin-needle cross-hatching was achieved.. An original design which was sketched by Lori & produced by me! The guipure lace on the sleeves completes the look...

Just completed - a pink Dupion silk dress, bloomers, bonnet, shoes & dress on a 20 inch 'baby' & a smaller 16 inch white clipped dot voile swing top, bloomers & bonnet... Both smocked with my favourite #8 DMC thread...

Out came the blue toile fabric again & this time a dress, bloomers & matching booties with a gorgeous wide white lace & matching white smocking for the sleeves, & neckline.  Such a feminine combination...

Blue dupion silk gown with smocked Bishop neckline & sleeves with pearls & a machine embroidered floral swag across the skirt... a lovely combination, finished off with a fine heart shaped guipure lace for the hemline. So pretty!

I am so excited with this new arrival, a wrought iron cradle from Sydney & here it is.. My 'babies' are already settling into their new bedding. Such a rare opportunity which I snapped up quickly.
It isn't quite spring but this is all ready for 'Miss S' when the sun finally does shine through. Made of 100% cotton in gorgeous lime green & floral. The matching bloomers have a touch of the floral around the hemline as a feature. The front bodice is smocked in colours matching the fabric & it is a cross-over back with 2 buttons... a lovely addition to her wardrobe..

How excited I was to win 1st Prize for this little dress at the recent Mount Larcom Show. Made of batiste with lilac trellis smocking & lemon roses on a green vine. It was such a thrill. I also won three 2nd Prize places for other items entered. This lovely dress has now been sent to Colorado USA to a very happy customer.
There is nothing cuter than a frilly toosh,  and with the added, colour co-ordinated, smocked insert it was bound to be a hit..!

Here is some pretty 'food for the eyes'... two gorgeous bubble sets with matching hats. Made of 100% cottons with the collars in plain shades to highlight the hand embroidery worked on each one. Grub roses are always a favourite as the lilac collar shows. Trimmed with cotton lace on the lilac one & nylon gathered lace for the pink one...ideal for twins!!

Luscious in Lemon!

This has turned out to be the prettiest little set... in lemon cotton. A full smocked bodice with a row of rabbits & flowers hand worked.. Lovely hand embroidered detail is also added to the hemline, collars & sleeve cuffs & added frilled bloomers complete this dainty little dress set..

Dreams in Blue!

This is such a pretty little set... made of 100% fine cottons & with hand embroidered grub roses on the collar, cuffs & bodice. A frilly pair of bloomers completes the cute ensemble.

"Silk Snug"

Here is a lovely idea for those beautiful reborn babies... a very decorative sleep snug...this one is made of light coffee coloured dupion silk & matching lace...the "baby" pops in between the bows & looks so elegant.. there is a pillow that fits inside the back opening to give some height to the bedding...

Silk Ribbon Beauty

This is my latest smocked, silk & ribbon embroidered challenge & now that it is completed I couldn't be happier with these final shots. My client is over the moon at the end result. This gown, & matching bonnet, can be converted into something a little different, by drawing up the blue ribbon on the skirt it becomes a sacque, which encloses the baby beautifully. A true one-of-a kind & unique creation. There is a blue silk ribbon embroidered with flowers on the back of the bonnet to give that extra "wow" appearance.

Perfect in Purple!

A pure delight to put this one together - a small smocked panel across the front using matching threads in white, lilac & purple really brings out the design nicely. A matching hat to complete the ensemble & bub is all ready for the hot summer...

Mini Cupcake

The original design of this dress 'Cupcake' was in AS&E Issue # 54 in a size 5,6 & 7 but this little dress is done for a 6 month old & I have changed the colours, sleeves & hemline accordingly to fit the smaller size. So pretty with the lemon grub roses & light green vine trims.

Little Boy Work Overalls

Here is something for the little man in your life... a perfect matching set of shirt & overalls... light chambray fabric is ideal for the overalls as it is not stiff & hard on soft baby skin & the shirt is a light cotton for the hot summer months..

Block of the Month

During 9 months of last year I was involved in a "Block of the Month" through my stitching forum friends & this is the result thus far. The online teacher is Kerry & she has been lovely to share her designs with us. There are more borders to the outside but I think I may leave mine as a smaller knee quilt. I have been so busy with orders for smocked clothing for reborn babies that I haven't had a chance to post on here for a month, maybe next month I will take a teeny break!

Welcome to Allsewsmocking - here is Perfect Miss DD (one of my adorable grand-daughters).
