Glorious Green

With the cooler months arriving fast in Oz it is time to start sewing for the little ones & here is a beautiful fine warm pinwale corduroy in a lime green with tiny white spots.. using machine embroidery for the Teddy bear with green colours to match the overalls. A white skivy & white frills around the bottom of the overalls completes the ensemble nicely.

........ and the back view............

Even the back is gorgeous!

Following on...........

Here is a full view of the previous gown set.......

Magnificent Gown & Bonnet

This all-white ensemble has turned out to be the most magnificent gown & bonnet set. Made of white fine cotton with pin tucks, insertion cotton lace & a large smocked panel in the front. The wrists, both back bodices & even the shoulders are smocked using this unusual pattern. The bonnet has a wide smocked section with lace. Any child will look wonderful on their Christening Day, Naming or Dedication Day. An heirloom for generations to come. It has ribbon ties at the back for the old traditional look. Several tucks are also applied to the skirt section which is quite long. Due to the beauty of this one I will post a couple more pictures showing the full length & trims..... it is available for sale to anyone interested...

Christina

Here is one of the cutest little sculpts - dark haired "Christina" & she is all dressed & ready for an outing...! I have added apricot buttons at the back & apricot ribbons to the bodice, sleeves & her hair. These are very desirable dolls for the serious collector - this one is 11-12 inches with bent legs.

Teddy Bear Quilt

I have a love for Teddy Bears so it was obvious that I would make a quilt featuring them. I have several patterns & hope to make many more but I thought this one was particularly nice with all the lilac, mauve & lavender shades of fabric. It has been hand quilted & backed with flanelette as our climate is warm enough without thick blankets. This one is cot size & ideal for a lap rug when it turns cool.

Miss Milly in the Mud!

Here is my little Chichuahua "Milly" after she discovered that mud was a great thing to play in... from white fur to dark brown mud!! A bath quickly ensued.

Off to France....

Here is a dainty little dress for a very special little girl who lives in France. Made for Helen & Nick's first new addition with love. Poly cotton gingham was chosen for easy laundering with frilled sleeves instead of lace. The tuck can be let down next year when she grows taller...
