Cheese cloth & gold smocking delight!

 

Such a delight to make these two little swing dresses for my dear friends Lana & JaNan in the USA.  The gold thread doesn't show very well in the pics but it is quite stunning.. Tiny pink & lavender grub roses completes the design with green trellises behind each set of flowers.

Luscious Lavender Silk

A lovely friend sent me this pale lavender silk in kit form & after a couple of nights I finally finished it off.. Looks so beautiful on my 12-14" Reborn... the bonnet is particularly dainty.. Love this - thankyou Sue...X

More Beanies...

Another shipment of tiny beanies for the Angel Babies & NICU babies.  Knitted from 4ply soft baby yarn to keep little heads warm ... The next lot will be pink!...

Double the Fun..

Having double the fun this week with these little sets for twin girls. Turned out beautifully... red cherry print 100% cotton with matching red pants with frills across the toosh.. when they walk about the frills will be seen at the back. Maybe Mummy will send a pic of them wearing these soon.  

Pretty Lanyards...

Been playing with some hand embroidered lanyards this week. So pretty & personal with lovely messages stem stitched onto each piece. Finished with button trims & lobster clips for keys or scissors or whatever you want.

Sea Mist Dupion Silk Set.

Such a gorgeous result using "Sea Mist" Dupion silk & cream pearls on this romper, bonnet & shoe combination.... the smocked neckline, sleeves & ankles with matching bonnet sure look spectacular with Guipure lace trims. 

The ribbon shoes won First Prize at the local Show a few months ago & were worked with ribbon embroidery designs to enhance their beauty.

Purple Passion!

A beautiful lavender & white teeny check dress for a teeny little girl! Hand worked grub lavender & lemon roses on the collars & sleeve edges. The smocking on the bodice forms 2 rows of white hearts... Hopefully there will be a pic of her wearing it very soon. 

Little Pinwale Corduroy Rompers

 It has been a good week so far, managed to get these three little pale blue pinwale corduroy rompers all finished & ready for the Craft Spectacular.  Lined them with pretty children print floral fabrics... one with "bugs" another with "lambs"...being the high-back pattern they will keep little ones warm with a sweater underneath..

Batik sets..

 What fun it was to make these for our Craft Spectacular from donated Batik fabrics.  They are so cute & the bow at the back makes them dainty & feminine.

Two More...

 Two more little Batik dresses almost ready for sale at the Craft Spectacular.. so pretty mixed with plain homespun.. I loved the Sunbonnet Sue applique which finished this one off beautifully... more coming soon!
