Angel Set

A perfect little Angel set for a newborn baby... made of the finest Batiste with delicate 100% cotton laces.  Matching bloomers make it so pretty.  The smocking is done in a pale pink thread...

Lavender Loveliness

Been having lots of fun with lavender fabric & hand embroidered lavender flowers today ... a few bits to finish but wanted to show progress this far.  So pleased with the collars & sleeve bands.. they all came up a treat...

Beautiful in Blue.

Adorable model for my latest creation with pearl encrusted smocking on the neckline, sleeves & bonnet. Bloomers underneath... all finished with a rich Guipure lace hemline.

 Been having lots of fun this week. Made up these 5 sets, just need to finish shoes for the blue sets & one bonnet for the cream set.. the pearls look fab on the pink, blue & white sets... chose pink pearls for the white & white pearls for the blue & pink sets...

Cream delight...

Perfect in cream Dupion silk... decided it needed a little colour, so the basket design is done in gold & pale green, the green ribbon on the smocked sleeves add a nice touch & blends beautifully with pearls smocked into the neckline & sleeves.  Bonnet & Booties will follow...

Two more in silk..

 Another two sets for a special order in the USA... so pretty in Dupion silk with an embroidery on the skirt of the "Sea Mist" green set... the guipure laces really make them "pop" !   I know my customers will love them..

All finished & posted off...

 The white laces certainly do finish the skirt tuck off beautifully... Mummy is very pleased with them & promised pics of her daughter wearing them...how exciting.

Doll Show Preparations..

What a busy week it has been... Preparations for the doll show in the USA later this year & these are some of the creations so far. We have Dupion silks with smocking & pearls, broderie anglaise & satin...all smocked & ready to go.

A new beginning......

Starting to feel so much better - In 10 months I have had two total knee replacements, a gall bladder removal, pancreatitis & along with losing 2 sister-in-laws & my darling Mother who was almost 101years old!  All this had taken a toll on my health but I am now cutting out lots of silk to make sets of gowns, bonnets, booties & bloomers in a new beginning....it is good to be back!....

Christmas is nearly here!

What fun to make 2 Christmas theme dresses for sisters. One is size 3 the other size 6.  Such a lovely design using the 'Mary De' USA pattern...Smocking across the bodice was done in red & green Christmas colours.
