Months of Marvellous Madness!

I have had the most wonderful few months making all these outfits for various ladies... such a pleasure to deal with nice customers & they have been so understanding when waiting in line for their works to be completed..

There are two of these pretty little short sets with smocked & frilled tops & bow tied bloomers..

A gorgeous dress of pink polished cotton with smocked bodice & lovely white lace & cotton collar with hand embroidered grub roses.

All finished & ready for the customer..
"Princess" themed fabric for a pretty girl dress

Winnie the Pooh fabric for this lovely black & yellow smocked insert...

'Australia' fabric for a beautiful red & blue smocked insert, striking colours & pretty red & white lace for the sleeve frills..
"Dumbo" fabric looks so divine in this style with a white collar & colour co-ordinated smocked insert.  These fabrics were all chosen by the customer & sent to me for 'creating' these lovely dresses..
Another pretty in purple dress with matching insert...even the piped collar matches this one..!

I think Mickey Mouse would be proud of this dress.!

Red Thai Silk is the fabric for this one of a kind Christmas dress with matching lace covered sleeves & double lace hemline, there are two tucks above the hem to flair it out even more, it will be worn over a red tutu...
I had a lot of fun making these three "Prince" sets for a little boy... the matching smocked inserts for the shirts really made the shorts attractive & they are lined shorts too .... all done in 100% cotton for extra wear.

These were so pretty on completion.. for two tiny reborn babies - made of 100% cotton & smocked around the sleeves, neckline & both bonnets... so feminine... they both had matching bloomers underneath
More little dresses with name smocking for the inserts... little frilled cap sleeve tops complete them beautifully..
'Robert Kaufman' fabrics for this pretty bright pink trimmed dress with the smocked name insert. The fabric has gold highlights & sparkles...

The final bow-tied bloomer set with matching smocked shirt in the same beige colours as the pants.. so nice for a little girl to wear during the hot summer months...

What a busy month or two it has been.... this 100% cotton with spectacular collar all smocked was quite a challenge but the end result was well worth the effort...

Another beautiful 100% cotton lavender & black spot with matching black smocking & rick rack to finish the skirt...
I always enjoy smocking Christening gowns & this one was no exception... the guipure lace hemline & beaded neckline really made it "pop"... can't wait to see some pics of the baby girl wearing it..
It has been a delight to make these colour co-ordinated sets in beige stripe, grey stripe & red stripe with "Minnie Mouse" dress, all in 100% cotton fabrics...the button-on shorts are such a hit at the moment, especially with the little Prince wearing a red set to his sister's Christening a week ago.... so dressy but still manly ....

Green & grapes...

This fabric was just calling for me to make a bloomer & swing top set - the bloomers are a gorgeous purple shade & matches the lime green perfectly.

The smocking is done in purple & a black row of hearts completes the smocking around the neckline.  Fits 18-20 inch reborns beautifully as my Shyann model shows...
Decided to de-stash my pinwale corduroys & so I have cut out many in this style of pattern, here is the first all finished... these are so cute & fit a 1-3month old real baby....

2015 with a blast!

Been an awful start to the year with a total knee replacement followed quickly by an unscheduled Pancreatitis complication from gall stones which will be removed next week.  The following are little items I have managed to get together since the start to 2015, hopefully lots more to come!
Started learning to smock little newborn singlets to match bloomers for the hot summers.... more to do but this one turned out beautifully..
A close up of the smocking which is worked across the ribs in the singlet...hopefully socks will be done to match the larger sizes..
The neckline on the cream top which matches the lime green bloomers....

More dresses...

Just completed all the hand applique on the hearts & they look so lovely on the bodice & around the skirt...all 100% cotton fabrics..
More hand applique hearts on the bodice of this blue dress.. you would never guess that hearts are my favourite applique..
Close-up view of the hearts, they are cream background with gold stars..
Even the skirt of this one didn't escape the "heart" trims..
