I just love to make these little sets - this is a pale pink dupion silk with matching guipure lace.. My Luca is a picture of beauty in the matching bloomers - so cute.. These sets look lovely on real babies too....

Perfect Pink Combination

Here is Luca in a white dupion silk with pink smocking & matching pink guipure lace set. Such a beautiful combination & very delicate & feminine. Did you know that silk is a natural fibre & therefore 'breathes'. It is cool in summer & warm in winter. Garments of silk should never be stored in plastic bags. An excellent method of storage is a clean white pillow case.

Specialty in Silk

For those who like a big "Wow" factor when wearing something totally unique, this little jacket will fit the bill. Made of gold & crimson brocaded fabric it is stunning & finished with matching dupion silk & fully lined. It was finished late last night so the gold chinese toggle for the front hasn't been added as yet but I think it will be the icing on the cake! What do you think?

English Lace & Dupion Silk

Here is another set made of sage green dupion silk but this time I have used English Lace as the trimming. The smocking has tiny irridescent pearls around the neck & sleeves which brings out the colours even more. Luca is a perfect model! This set was purchased by a client in the UK.

Another Shyann

Here is another Shyann with brown hair.. just by changing eye colour, hair etc it changes the whole look.... such a beautiful sculpt to reborn. She is one of my favourites....so far!

My new Shyann

Just finished & all ready for the trip DownUnder is my new Shyann. She is gorgeous & all those auburn/red curls are so beautiful. Thankyou Janan for another excellent job!

Quilts, why not!!

This is a "Drunkards Path" pattern. Although I usually smock & sew clothing I have been know to do bed & cot quilts also. This top has laid in a cupboard for a few years & today was the day to finish it with a flanelette backing... I decided against hand quilting due to the time factor involved & our warmer climate in Queensland.

Puppy Dogs!!

Children & babies just love Puppy Dogs so this little set is made of 100% cotton fabric with puppies all over it. Trimmed with cream broderie anglaise laces, it is a lovely little outfit.

Something Different

For those of you who prefer something a little different in newborn clothing. This is made of 100% cotton with a pretty border of 'houses". The added cream laces on the sleeves, hemline& bloomers make it so feminine & cool in the hot weather. The red smocking brings out the red houses in the design beautifully.

Raven the Fairy

How do you like "Raven" the fairy baby? She has just had her fairy dress & bloomers made to suit her lovely garden green colouring..... The dress is smocked with gold thread & pearls. The hemline guipure lace was hand dyed by Carol of http://www.daisysgarden.net.au/ in colours to match the fabric which came from the USA. She even has a beautiful butterfly in her hair like all fairies !!

Hankie Jacket

Have you ever wondered what to do with all those pretty hankies when they are just too beautiful & lacey to use? ... Here is an excellent idea - crazy patchwork them into a jacket. This one fits size 3yrs & is fully lined & padded for warmth. There are lots of laces, fancy stitches & motifs embellishing the seams.
